Before founding Schaffhouser Electrical in 2010, John gained extensive experience in electrical project management, focusing on understanding customer needs and consistently delivering projects on time and within budget.
John's vision was to build an electrical team dedicated to executing projects at the highest levels of quality and service while developing the next generation of skilled electricians across the Southeast.

John Schaffhouser
President / Chief Executive OfficerJohn served in the United States Marine Corps as a communications, navigation, and weapons systems technician. He was meritoriously promoted twice and honorably discharged after Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm. He holds a PMP certification from the Project Management Institute and brings 20+ years of electrical contracting experience to every project.
Michelle Schaffhouser
Chief Administrative OfficerStarting in pharmacy management and later securing her RN license, Michelle brings exceptional management skills and a detail-oriented mindset to Schaffhouser Electric. She oversees AP/AR, strategic planning, and daily administrative operations — an invaluable part of keeping the business running smoothly.
Jim Schaffhouser
Facilities Project Manager / EstimatorJim began his electrical career in 1995. His experience at Davis Electric and Tyson Foods prepared him to lead large, complex projects in heavy industry environments. He also holds a Master Electricians License in Kentucky, bringing added credentialing to projects in that region.
Joe Schaffhouser
Southeast Regional ManagerJoseph brings 20+ years in industrial electrical construction and project management. His career spans Bridgestone, Nissan, Continental Tire, Willamette Paper, Tyson Foods, and Magna — giving him deep knowledge across automotive, food processing, and manufacturing. He is a PMP and STSC certified professional.
Berenice Cruz
Human ResourcesBerenice coordinates recruiting, onboarding, and employee experience for both office and field teams. She ensures that Schaffhouser continues to attract and retain top electrical talent across the Southeast. She is the primary contact for employment applications and HR requests.
